I want things to deteriorate

Just a sims wish I have (if you’re a modder, feel free to steal my idea lol)

What if items deteriorated, and you had to replace them? Currently if you buy a couch, it’s a perfectly fine couch for the next 10 generations… in real life, your couch starts breaking down a few years into it. You buy a tv and other than fixing it occasionally, it lasts forever. Why can’t it be broken beyond repair ever?

I also wish my sims wanted to upgrade things more often, don’t they get sick of the same old decor? Don’t they ever come home from work and think “I should paint all my doors black” or “I should shiplap that wall”?

Anyone agree? Disagree?
