ROBLOX client is lagging heavily after latest update(s)

Hey everyone.

Apparently there's been an update recently, and ever since then Roblox -- which once launched games without issue on my PC -- now lags heavily and can barely keep a frame rate at all as it loads game assets in. This is after I reinstalled the client after previous attempts to launch games were met with the "roblox launcher is out of date" error.

I haven't dove deep into it yet, though I have seen posts on here which state another bug with the launcher (white screen of death), so maybe these two are related.
