Antivirus without anti piracy

I've been using windows defender for ages and even though it kept destroying cracks and stuff on it's own and even ignored exclusions like once a month, I tolerated it since it's light on resources.. but recently it was put to a real test with a tough virus that completely humbled it and I had to use a bootable rescue usb to fix the damage. now I'm convinced that windows defender is just an excuse for anti piracy.. it even removed my adblock/privacy hosts file as "severely malicious hack"..
Now I'm moving to a new anti virus, and since they're almost the same and they're all decently good, I really hate this anti piracy element in most software and I want it to ignore clean cracks or just flag them as potentially unwanted and allow me to manually choose what to do instead of automated action.
