Ozempic & PCOS
I have PCOS and have not had success in losing weight. Before starting Ozempic, I had a hard time sticking to a diet because I felt so hungry all the time.
I've been on Ozempic since mid-October and have lost an average of 1.5 lbs a week. I'm amazed. I'm eating so much less than I used to. Am I losing weight purely because I'm eating less? Or is the drug doing something to my body other than appetite suppression?
I think this is just me reflecting on the years and years of struggling with my weight and all the mental anguish that goes with that. Was the PCOS causing my intense hunger? I've blamed my lack of self control for so long and have felt such shame over my inability to stick with a diet.
I'm so grateful for this drug.
