Solo trip to Lima?

Yes, I know this is Lima, Ohio.

I want to drive down to Lima (it’s about 5 hrs from where I live in Canada) and spend a weekend there. I’m a woman in my 20s and a huge Glee fan and I just want to experience the Glee town for real. I’m worried that I keep seeing how dangerous Lima is… is this a bad idea? I would bring a friend with me but they would be bored out of their minds.
