Dude why is Big Boss such a little bitch

If you actually think about it the entirety of Metal Gear is his fault for not getting over The Boss's death, which i know to him was a big deal and crap but she died in 1964. And yet we still see him crying over her grave at the end of mgs4.

Plus other allies who he'd arguably spent more time with, like Kaz and Ocelot had also died except he doesn't show or is said to have had any qualms about them dying, even with shit like 1974.

And i get that The Boss meant a lot to him, but she's a woman who we as the player meet like 5 times before she 'betrays' us, and then until we kill her all she does is try and torture Naked Snake. Kojima has a habit of telling us what to feel about a charector instead of making the effort to make that charector likable.

Big Boss is still goated but why the hell did Kojima give him such mommy issues, and i know The Boss had the philosophers legacy but that was kind of all she had to do with the plot other than being a woman Big Boss looked up to, even though he would've been in his late twenties during Snake Eater.
