IBCC equivalence ke rolay 🥲

I applied for my O'Levels equivalence through IBCC online portal, uploaded all my original Cambridge Certificates and required documents but instead of receiving the equivalence certificate they sent me a provisional certificate stating the "original equivalence certificate" will only be processed after submitting original certificates to IBCC secteriat. I don't understand what's the point of online equivalence option, I could have simply just couriered them my documents. did anyone here had a similar issue?
