[Endgame] What Dr. Strange could have done.

So I was rewatching the series and just finished infinity war. And I thought of something. It didn’t make that much sense to give the stone to Thanos.

First of all Thor was really close to completing the Axe. Right when Thanos gets the Stone he teleports to Earth. And Thor was already there.

So it makes more sense to not give the stone to Thanos and just let Thor kill him right. Thor heavily outclassed Thanos and would have killed him but he didn’t go for the head giving Thanos enough time to complete the snap. But if he didn’t have all the stones he couldn’t snap. He also couldn’t rewind Vision to get the mind stone.

As long as Thanos doesn’t get the Time stone it’s impossible for him to snap. Because Scarlet could just kill Vision, destroying the Mind stone. And then they just send Thor after him.
