Pet or partner?

I was taking a survey from the company that did my pup’s DNA breed testing, and encountered the question: “If you had to choose, would you rather have a pet or a partner?” Even after taking a couple minutes to make sure I had thought it through, I’d still pick my dog over a partner any day. I’ve even cut things off in the early stages of dating just because my dog didn’t like them!
