Paying attention to your surroundings at Arts Fest

Look, I’ll preface this by saying if I’m being a Karen I’ll try reassess this from a different angle. But right now, I’m really just baffled and can’t understand something and need to know if anyone else is as irritated as I am

Anytime I go to any kind of Vendor event at one of the parks in Kingston, I can’t enjoy it in the slightest because people lack literally the most basic physical awareness skills. Today at city park, walking in packs of 6+ people, they’ll just stop in the middle of the path to talk (not even looking at the booths). Like, is it not common sense to move tf out of the way if you’re not going to be using the walkway for its purpose?? And if you’re walking browsing the booths, don’t just stop dead in your tracks?? The place is packed, obviously you’re going to get run into if you just plant your feet out of nowhere.

I’m also walking with a stroller, which is definitely not easy and not something I blame anyone else for, but to see someone pushing a stroller, look them in the eye, and then walk out into the middle of the walkway and stop to chat, is ridiculously disrespectful. And it happened so many times I lost count.

Ive been to these kinds of festivals in so many different cities and Kingston is by far the worst for this, and I can’t figure out what people just don’t grasp about this very basic concept
