The best QoL in a JRPG
You've finished that one sidequest you were working on. It took you all across the town, maybe even in another area entirely. You've finished the quest but are dreading the hike back, especially if you had to go through a bunch of monsters. Even if its in the same city, maybe you have to go through a bunch of individual screens to report the quest.
And then as if by the studio's mercy, you are warped back to the request giver. Even better, sometimes there is a prompt to ask the player if you want to go back or stay if there are multiple quests. All is well. I can't believe this kind of thing isn't standard across the industry. It's by far my favorite QoL outside of a text log.
