Claiming Asylum on a visitor visa

Hello everyone, I'm asking for a friend of mine, this friend has applied for a visitor visa, he has his brother in Canada as a PR holder, and he was the one who wrote him an invitation letter to come to Canada assuming he will take care of his basic necessities and accommodation, now let's take into consideration that my friend will want to seek Asylum in Canada will this affect the PR of his brother or affect the chances of his brother becoming a Canadian Citizen just because his brother decided to seek Asylum and will it affect the parents also if they ever decide to visit their PR holder son in Canada?
