New Ride and First Thoughts
This arrived last night- ICE, AWD Calligraphy. Beige/green interior, and was able to get $4100 off MSRP, reasonable dealer fees. First impressions: - Photos don’t do the interiors justice. Opening up the door and sitting in One is such a cool experience. - We have two car seats, one in each of the second row bucket seats , so it will be a few years before we can really take advantage of putting the kids in the third row. - The digital mirror takes some getting used to, especially at night. I’m seeing a blend of the actual digital image with some reflection of headlights, which is a little disorienting. - Soundsystem doesn’t sound great, and I’m surprised. I’m a big audio guy and I love how my 2020 limited sounds. I usually like the Bose sound but I think they could have done better here. - A small sunroof on a vehicle targeting just outside the bubble of the luxury market. Feels a little weird. A full panoramic roof would’ve been a nice touch. - hda2 is really cool, and I need to get a bit more used to it. I haven’t quite figured out how to use the Smart cruise control to accelerate after it stops when the car in front of you moves forward, but I’m researching that. - I thought I would miss my fog lights, but I really don’t, the headlights do a great job without them.
