Low histamine diet - mental relief

I have PMDD and read about how high histamine levels can make this worse. I’ve been experiencing strange itching, fatigue, depression and being woke up in the middle of the night feeling like a panic attack however I now think these are histamine dumps.

I’ve been doing a low histamine diet for nearly a week and mentally I feel so much lighter compared to how I usually feel in my luteal phase.

I feel much more myself compared to last month where I felt so low.

Can having too much histamine in your body affect mental health that much?

I’ve not been able to have any chocolate, bananas or avocados which is shit but I value my sanity more so I can’t complain too much, a bland diet isn’t that much of a sacrifice!

Has anyone else felt the same or could this just be coincidence?
