Lorelai's graduation gift from Christopher

So Christopher gifts Lorelai a gift basket for her college graduation which includes a real pearl necklace and tells her how great she is and that she deserves it for raising Rory and being "Superwoman" but is out of town for Rory's high school graduation, where she was valedictorian and didn't even bother to send her anything to make up for it or call her.

I'm not saying that Lorelai doesn't deserve it but it yet again just goes to show that Christopher never cared for Rory and more for Lorelai.
