How to stop eating ridiculous amounts of rice?

Because it ain't funny anymore. I try and I just end up overeating. I know it's about control and all, but I would like to know how you all go about it. How frequently do you have white rice and how much is a decent amount (for a girl who should be eating 1500-1600 calories per day)?

Another issue seems to be that sometimes I feel I am hungry and roti won't do it, I need rice.
