Songs in fanfics

I was wondering if I'm weird for not liking song lyrics in the stories I read. Some authors are kind enough to state on their summary that it is a songfic or the story is based on a song. I stay clear of them since I don't like having to read a paragraph and being interrupted by lyrics of a song and then continue reading. I don't know why I don't like it. If a story has lyrics in later chapters and I'm too invested in the story I just scroll down bypassing the song lyrics. Does anyone else does that or am I weird?
