4Pro extruder compatible with the 4 Max?

After owning my 4 Max for about a week, I got hit with the blob of death. I used a heat gun to get the blob off the hot end, but ended up melting part of the housing.

I ordered a complete extruder assembly from the official elegoo ebay, but because I'm an idiot, ordered one for the Pro.

It's due to arrive today, and I really want to get printing again. Can I use the Pro extruder or should I just return it?
