I’m Not Leaving The Arena

Listen, you guys can be upset if you want. You can choose not to support him and that’s totally fine and understandable. The problem that I have is that a lot of you are looking hard at certain facts and disregarding others. We don’t know the true nature of his conversations with this minor, and we may never know. These are the things that we know:

  1. It’s nearly ALWAYS inappropriate for an adult to be communicating with a minor that’s outside of their immediate familial circle. Doc did have communication that in his own words were leaning in the direction of being inappropriate.

  2. This has already gone through arbitration and legal proceedings, including the discovery process, and it’s been in front of a judge.

  3. The inappropriate conversations took place a full 3 years prior to his Twitch ban, which is extremely odd considering the people leaking all of this claim the messages were very sexual in nature.

  4. There were never any legal charges brought against Doc. This is important because in California the conversation with a minor pertaining to a whole list of felonies is a charge in itself, not including anything that happened beyond that conversation.

  5. Doc initiated the legal proceedings against Twitch only after finding out in 2021 why they banned him. He started this legal battle with full knowledge of the context of his conversations, and that those would come out in discovery and could lead to a criminal charge against him if warranted.

  6. TWITCH settled with Doc, not the other way around. They also paid out his contract as long as it was agreed neither side had to take blame.

  7. The leaker who claimed Doc was “sexting” with minors has been a clout chaser prior to this happening. He previously tried to monetize his limited second-hand knowledge by trying to get people to sell out venues that his band was playing at in exchange for him giving up the reason for Doc’s ban.

  8. This person also reportedly just started using Premium X within the last month, meaning he can get paid off of engagement from his account, and that’s retroactive for (I believe) 3 months. That means he has a chance for monetary gain from all of this, which is a great reason to sensationalize it by exaggerating the story because he knows it’ll lead to a lot more clicks.

  9. Doc owned it. He’s been under an NDA about this for years, and not that he’d ever want this to come out because it’s absolutely shameful, but now it’s out and he isn’t shrinking from it. He didn’t do enough for it to be illegal, that much is obvious, but he did do enough for it to be immoral, which is exactly what he said.

There have been countless donations, comments and stories about Doc helping people through their hardest days with his content. We’ve seen him get emotional about it on stream and break. He’s made us feel like Champs. We’ve seen him make mistakes and try to be a better person on the other side. Yes, I know this is a living for Doc, but he’s been able to take many of our minds off of a lot of tumultuous times across the years that he’s been doing this, and I won’t be leaving him to go this alone. We can expect better and still be supportive, especially when so much of this is based on assumptions that aren’t rooted in transparency from anything close to a reputable source, or company for that matter. The Doc needs us, and I’m not leaving The Arena if he’s not. Not yet. Not like this.
