Tom's vasectomy request and birth control comparison discussion
Okay! I know the title seems weird but try to follow me haha.
When Lynette asked Tom to get a vasectomy because the pill just made her bloat and they weren't having any more kids, Tom ended up not getting one because it made him feel emasculated. Or like " less of a man" as he put it. I think that's kind of like a widely used excuse among men who don't want to go through with a procedure, and women tend to go along with it for the most part.
What if Lynette or any woman said they didn't want to go on the pill because it made them feel like " less of a woman?" Meaning, her not being able to get pregnant due to being on the pill made her feel bad about herself and her femininity. Would that argument or rationale EVER fly?
Do you all think it's fair to compare it like that or not really? Genuinely curious.
