where to stay when going to red rocks

hi! new yorker here coming into town for a quick weekend trip to catch a show at red rocks amphitheater. flying in friday, leaving sunday. would like to stay somewhere where we don’t need a car, i have a car service picking up our group saturday may 11 to take us to the show (and back to where we are staying). not sure if we should stay in boulder or if there’s another place recommended? not familiar at all with denver. would like to not need a car for the weekend & depend on uber / transport services.
