Stay perm or switch?

Like a number of people on here, I switched from contract to perm back in 2020 when everything turned to crap - COVID, IR35 made it really hard to see it getting any better!

Problem is I still feel like a contractor and want to get back there!

Currently a Cyber SOC solution architect. My perm rate is around 100k + bens

Opportunity for an outside gig at £800 /day but this might only be a 3-6 month contract. Would be more tax efficient as a joint director Ltd company.

Market for my type of work seems to be around 600 per day inside.

Heart says do it, make the jump to get away from the perm nonsense and the sort term bump. Head says stay put because the markets awful and the short term gain will probably be destroyed by chasing the next inside role.

Currently leaning towards staying put which makes me sad.

What would you do in my position Reddit!!
