Once in a lifetime event
Once you are a qualified Chartered Accountant.. genuinely the happiest would be our parents.. sometimes even more than us.. so I believe convocation is dedication to our family and friends who’s supported us through this journey..
Today was the convocation.. which started ridiculously late.. but even before that there was shortage of food, they were serving less than half the quantity an average person would eat, queues were so unorganised and no clear markings be it for the certificate or gown or photo booths.
The best part was the venue.. the total seating capacity of the venue selected is 250.. and 3/4th of the venue was for seating the members.. so our family and friends were left to stand and watch from the lobby on a TV.. this is the respect the institute gives to the people who supported us to become what we’re today.
I see today’s event as a reflection of what the institute represents.. greedy, mismanaged, outdated.
Oh yeah they reminded us to pay our annual membership fee without fail.. what a joke, why would I willing want to pay you when you can’t respect and treat us with dignity once in a life time!!?
CAs uphold professionalism and are held to the utmost quality standards, what a joke!
