How crucial are unique weapons?

Hi, Just started playing the other day and got Wild Dog Luvencia, however, considering it only says it has a few hours left, I am not sure if I will be able to get her unique weapon. So I was wondering how fucked I am if I don't get it (if it nerfs her damage by a mile, etc.). Or if I am fine without? As i mentioned i have onlu just stared so i have no clue on most of the game yet. Thanks.
