tapping not working

idk what it is but there’s times when i tap my screen for a note and it says i missed it. and i’ve noticed that this really only happens when i have a lot of gems to spend or when i’m playing a song in an event so if i miss one, i’d have to use my gems to keep going and not lose anything. does this happen to anyone else? is it a bug? it’s really annoying bc i clearly feel my thumb touching the screen.
