Are flaming fists that dumb in the lore?
I liked the flaming fists at waukeens rest in act 1. I thought they were your typical noble knight-type of characters. Then I get to act 3 and find out they're just mindless muscle lmao. So let me get this straight, duke ravengard gets abducted and none of them even seems to show an inkling of interest into how it could've been a political move from within the government. There are murders going on all around baldurs gate and only like one of them even shows an interest in trying to get to the bottom of it to stop it from happening. If you try to walk through the gate with the guards they immediately try to kill you because some robot says so. No further investigation or anything like that. Nor do they seem all that suspicious of the steel watch at all. Then they just come up to you and accuse you of being responsible for ravengards death because some devil (mizora) said so without any second thought and all you have to do is say "nuh uhh" in a persuasion check and they just let you in on one of the city's biggest secrets 😂 it's like they have no ability to think or question things lmao. All they seem to want to do is keep refugees out of the city while not even really looking into any problems at all.
