How much are we spending on food per month?
Especially those of you in high cost of living areas.
I'm embarrassed to consider what I spend per month since I subscribe to a prepared meal delivery service, but it has to be $400 or more. (Typing out that amount has me embarrassed... I've seen YouTube videos on how to eat on $1 a day.) I live alone, loath cooking and also have ADHD, so don't have the executive function for it, and have a lot of taste/texture/flavor sensitivities. I always tell myself that this is the month I start cooking, like, rice and beans and pasta but I never get around to it. I wish someone would invent food pills.
I imagine a lot of people would insult me for spending so much and ask why I'm so lazy. I absolutely could cook for myself but it's at the bottom of my list of priorities, after work, taking care of animals, fitness, hobbies, and getting enough sleep.
