I accidentally opened the back of my automatic film camera, is there any way to roll the film back up?

For context: -my camera is an olympus stylus epic 35mm point and shoot -the roll of 36 was at frame 33 (I think)

When changing the battery, I unfortunately opened the wrong latch and exposed my film for not even one second in a dimly lit room, so I think the damage shouldn’t be too bad. The problem is that my camera assumed I had put a fresh roll in and reset the counter, and I’m pretty sure it rewound my film, but I’m not certain. Is there any way to preserve the film or somehow roll it back up? The first half of the roll is film from my study abroad so I’d love to keep that intact, but if there’s no other options then maybe I’ll just have to get creative with double exposures.

Anyways, all help is appreciated :)
