What is the beauty standard like in India?

Hi, I'm from South America and I watch Indian series and movies. I like to watch them because I like the stories and because I think the actors and actresses are beautiful. For example, I think that actor Zahan Kapoor is gorgeous and everyone I know would also think he's beautiful, but I saw Indians talking on Reddit that he's not that handsome. So I was like, "What?" and another actor that I would think is average, Indians thought he was beautiful. Here in Brazil, people love tanning (due to the hot climate and strong sun) and straight black hair. How is beauty viewed in India?
