DOGE claims a target of eliminating 75% of fed employees... where would you take these from?
Been thinking about this the last few days, and I'm genuinely curious about where this 75% could plausibly come from. Sure, Dept of Ed is in the block probably. But thats 4,000 employees which is miniscule. The biggest agencies, by far, are DOD/armed forces, DHS, and DOJ. Combined they are 2/3 of all feds. But if the idea is to do mass deportation, you can't really make aggressive cuts to those agencies -- in fact you may actually need to hire. That alone seems to make a 75% target pretty much impossible if you want aggressive enforcement of immigration law, even if you fired everyone else.

Am I missing something here? The math doesn't work.
