Pre operation anxiety
Hi all, I'm due to have my 4.3cm AN removed in just over a week via retrosig. (28/01/25) And I'm getting quite a lot of anxiety about the whole thing as I have never had any sort of surgery before and I'm very worried about the recovery as the doctors told me the potential complications of having the op and I can't get the serious ones off my mind. I can live with the fact I will most likely go deaf on the affected side but some of the others ones like a csf leak scare me. I'm from the UK and the surgeon who will be performing my surgery seems to be very well known and respected within the neurologist field so knowing that helps a bit...
It's tough to find any uplifting info online but reading though some of these posts the last month when I got diagnosed has also helped. If anyone could provide info on their experience leading up to and after surgery would be helpful as I really don't know what to expect. Thanks
